Steffany Marynovska is a Canadian fiction author. Her story “The Bear Pit” was recently shortlisted for the PRISM international 2025 Jacob Zilber Prize for Short Fiction. She is seeking representation for a novel based upon the piece, a work of climate fiction that follows a pilot-scientist researching the wind on a remote Canadian island.
Steffany’s work first appeared in The Fiddlehead. An alum of Tin House and the Granta Writers’ Workshop, she is currently attending the Creative Writing Graduate Certificate program at Humber.
